What CampusTask collects, why, and who else can see it.

1. What we collect
When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile photo.
During onboarding you give us your full name, date of birth, college, course, and graduation year. A phone number is optional.
As you use the platform we store the tasks you post, the bids you place, the messages you send, the ratings and reviews you leave, and any reports you submit.
2. Payments
We do not process payments. CampusTask never receives, holds, or transfers your money, and we do not collect card or bank details — you settle directly with the other student, by UPI or cash. Nothing about that transaction passes through us.
3. Who can see what
Other students see your name, profile photo, college, course, graduation year, verification status, rating, and task history.
Only you see your email address, phone number, and date of birth.
Moderators can see messages and profile details attached to a report, so that reports can be investigated. Messages are stored as ordinary database records — they are not end-to-end encrypted.
4. Third parties
Supabase hosts our database and handles authentication.
Google provides sign-in, and we use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used and Google AdSense to show ads. Both set cookies in your browser and receive data about your visit, subject to Google's own privacy policy.
5. Your choices
You can change your display name from your profile at any time. Your college, legal name, and date of birth are fixed after onboarding, because other students rely on them to decide whether to trust you.
