HI!
How can we help?
The questions students ask most. If yours isn't here, get in touch.
Getting started
- How do I post a task?
- Open your campus feed and choose Post a task. Give it a title, category, budget, and deadline. It appears in your college's feed straight away.
- How do I bid on something?
- Open the task and use Place your bid. Say what you'd charge and why you're a good fit — specific beats enthusiastic. The poster picks one bid.
- Why do I have to pick a college?
- Tasks are only shared within your own campus, so we need to know where you study. Your college cannot be changed later — it's what stops people joining communities they don't belong to.
Money
- How does payment work?
- Directly between the two of you, by UPI or cash. CampusTask never holds your money and takes no commission.
- When should I pay?
- After you've received the work and checked it. Never pay in advance to someone you haven't worked with before.
- What if I get scammed?
- Report the user from the task page or the chat. Moderators can suspend accounts — but because we never hold the funds, we cannot reverse a payment or refund you.
Safety and accounts
- How do I report someone?
- There's a report action on every task page and in every conversation header. Tell us what happened — reports go to campus moderators.
- What does “ID verified” mean?
- That the account completed onboarding with a real college, course, and graduation year. It confirms they're a student there — it isn't a guarantee about their work.
- Can I change my name?
- Your display name, yes, from your profile. Your legal name and date of birth are fixed after onboarding, because other students rely on them.
